Hollywood Health Tip #1:

Make sure of rock-solid Sleep.

This isn‘t a new one, nonetheless it‘s quite probably the most important factor for your health, fat burning efforts and overall quality of life. It‘s a Biggie. So big, ‘smatterofact, it definitely warrants its‘ very own page, to be found right here !;-)

Hollywood Health Tip #2:

Check out some D3 !;-)
Vitamin D3 is the new supplement of the day !;-)

It even dislodges good ol' Omega 3 from its long held #1 spot of importance.Apparently it's good for everything, and everybody needs it: most have a deficiency.

It seems that dosages of around 5000 IU are recommendable and totally safe.In northern latitudes with limited daylight during the winter months
-like Iceland- this might be upped to 10.000 IU per day... at that time of year.

Note: Vegetarians beware!! Vitamin D3 ordinarily is produced from things like animal-skin... They don't tell you that !:-)Go for the ones made outta "Lanolin": Sheep-Wool Fat.

Hollywood Health Tip #3:

Alkalize It, Baby !;-)

Alkalize, alkalize, alkalize!

That‘s how important this –at least seems- to be.

Some experts claim acidity –too much acid in the body- is the #1 reason for aging and disease.

Problem is, with our modern diet the body‘s exposed to acids all the time! No so good...

Most folks are acidic, where they should be in an alkaline state(the opposite of acidic)

Also they say you can never be too alkaline, only too acidic.So how do you become alkaline?

Pretty simple, really:

• Having lots and lots of green foods is a great start: Spinach comes to mind, and all kinds of other green, leafy vegetables. Then there‘s „Green Drinks“, for those On the Go.

• Organic Cider Vinegar in fresh spring water is super-refreshing and does the alkalizing-job.

• Lime-Water: basically „Lemonade“! Sqeeze a fresh organic lime -or lemon even- into some water... presto! Again: it‘s refreshing, it‘s delicious, it‘s alkalizing !;-)

• Take your Magnesium! As pointed out, this stuff‘s the Biz !;-) Super-Dooper important for all kinds of things, plus... you guessed it! It‘s alkalizing, of course !;-) Potassium, Calcium and Co., all help.

This should be a good start to „Cover your Bases, Baby !;-) Got the pun? No? Oh well... I thought it was funny, anyways...

Hollywood Health Tip #4:

Hungry... on a Diet... want something... filling?

Try the
„Super Slime-Blob Porridge“ !;-)

Sounds tasty? You betcha: Deli-sh Baby !;-)

Plus it‘s really filling at a pretty low calorie-cost, and good for ya stuff!

Here‘s the recipe:

1 cup Oatmeal

3 cups Water

0.5 tsp Salt

2tsps Psyllium Husk Fiber

1tbsp Cinnamon

1tbsp Xylitol

Throw it all in a pot, boil, stir, let it sit for 5, enjoy !;-)

We use Xylitol instead of sugar: both very low cal and G.I.(Glycemic Index)and the extra Psyllium Fiber will really bulk things up, at pretty much 0 net carbs and calories, whilst further lowering that G.I.

And did I mention that it helps removing all kinds of nasty stuff from your body, like plastics, heavy metals etc?

Just make sure to have additional fluids with extra fiber-intake.

Ps: Add raisins and fruit at your own risk, Baby !;-)

Note: They say Xylitol is safe, even good for people, but it can be poisonous for Dogs!!!!So watch out!!!!

Pps: Thinking about that, this Xylitol-stuff strikes me as just a widdle bit dodgy...

Here's a safe tip: all those sweeteners are pretty new and not too well researched as far a side-effects.Why don't you just use Liquorice Root Powder as a sweetener, that one's definitely good for ya.(unless of course, you got high blood-pressure: then check with your doc 1st !;-)

Hollywood Health Tip #5:

Cinnamon!

Use Cinnamon on everything !;-)

Why? Because it tastes good on everything !;-)

Also it increases Insulin-Sensitivity, so it helps with Fat Burning... cool stuff!

Try this:Cinnamon Fat Burning Coffee

1.A Big cup of strong, organic Coffee

2.One tsp of organic Cocoa Powder

3.Pinch of organic Vanilla Powder

4.Pinch of Cinnamon

Tastes FANTASTIC,Baby !;-)

AND is healthy good for ya... win-win-win:

So cinnamon ups insulin-sensitivity. Coffee and Cocoa both are chock-full of anti-oxidants, ‘smatterofact Cocoa is one of the strongest anti-oxidant blends/natural combos out there and should be onna daily list of yummies anyways !;-)

Ps: Add cream at your own risk, Baby !;-)

Hollywood Health Tip #6:

What do German Low Fat Quark, plain Icelandic Skyr and Low Fat Greek Yogurt have in common?

They're basically one and the same thing !;-)

Here's an All-Time Favorite of mine:

Choose any one of the above, take out half of the Skyr or Greek Yogurt or Quark.

Now mix in:

A nice and juicy chopped-up Organic Pear,

About 2.5 gram Organic Cinnamon,

Add just a few Dark Raisins...
a little more... and a little more... now it's too much!!

Just my little joke! Gosh, I'm soo funny! Ahhh, cracks me up... OK, alright, back to business:

Stomp in the pieces of pear with a spoon(or use a blender if you're sophisticated)stir in the Cinnamon and Raisins...

Presto! High protein, low G.I., low total calories, and Super-Dooper Delicious !;-)

Hollywood Health Tip #7:

Bungee-Jumping, Trampoline-ing and "Extreme Inversion Table-ing"…

…all do one thing:

They activate the body’s Lymphatic-System.

“Hang-Loose, Baby !;-)”

This system is one of the major detoxifiers, so it helps rid the body of all those poisons and waste-products accumulated, say, during a night out on the town !;-)

And it is propelled by gravity.

That’s where the Trampoline, the Bungee-Cord and Inversion-Table come in:

The more you “Shake up the Bottle”, so to speak, the better, Baby !;-)

Here’s what else an Inversion Table will do for you:

“Hang Out” like a Vampire, and this ingenious invention will decompress(read: stretch out) your whole spine, especially the lower-back; it can really help with that, a lot!

Also it takes the pressure of the heart and cardiovascular system; literally giving everything a break for a while…

It’s fantastic !;-)

Here’s something I do regularly:

I set the table to just 10% or so over horizontal, so the feet are just a little up, slightly higher than the rest of the body.

What that does is it stretches you out just a little bit and it’s super-comfortable, like floating on water !;-)

Like that I usually doze off in a jiffy and wake up within 15 minutes or so... totally, blissfully refreshed!

Talk about a Power-Nap, Baby !;-)

Gotta check it out, it’s awesome!

PS: and by the way, I got this huge stock of inversion tables I gotta get rid of asap, give you a special price, just because it’s you…

Naaaww, juuust kidding, of course ma horse !;-)

It’s really good for you stuff, especially if your back gives you “grief” sometimes, and anyways recommendable for anybody, even if your back is fine !;-)

Brazil:

Home of the Gracies, BJJ, Beautiful Women, Fantastic Food, and… Nuts?!

Yessir, Brazil Nuts, a true Powerhouse of Nutrition:

Packed with smart fats, fiber, protein, and, most interestingly, Selenium.

‘Smatterofact, Brazil Nuts are nature’s richest source of this Miracle-Mineral:

1-2 Brazil Nuts per day will cover your need of this super-important substance.

Selenium is a very strong anti-oxidant that’s reportedly protective against cancer, good for the heart and immune-system as well as slowing down the aging-process. Doesn’t get much better than that, eh?

Shut your mouth… NOT !;-)

Mouth- vs Nose-Breathing

Try breathing through your mouth more than through the nose(if you’re not doing so already)

It makes smiling easier !;-)

And it definitely gets more oxygen into your system. Think about it: When you train hard, you get to a point where breathing through the nose is just not good enough anymore.

Most folks' bodies nowadays are in a state of permanent hypoxia(low oxygen-levels) with all kinds of associated problems. This simple technique can improve matters immediately.

Sound weird?

Talk about "outta the box", eh?!

I‘ve applied this technique for a while now and I must say; it definitely improves overall energy and well-being.

Hot Chocolate... the Healthy Fat Burning Way !;-)

Simple Recipe:

10 gram Organic Cocoa Powder

5 gram Organic Liquorice-Root Powder

Add boiling water... makes one large, steaming mug-full of Chocolate...

Sprinkle with Cinnamon and/or Vanilla Powder to taste...

Presto !;-)

Simple, Quick, Delicious and super-dooper healthy !;-)

Hollywood Health Tip 11:

„Gym...XLtrZ*&*‘... do WHAT, mate?!“

„I said Gymmnema Sylvestre, actually.
(or was it "Gymnema"? Whatever...)

It‘s a herb that can increase Insulin-Sensitivity, and help produce new Pancreatic Beta-Cells. So it really helps with Insulin-Insensitivity/Metabolic-Syndrome-type-of-thing, right, and it‘s awesome for Fat Burning because of the Insulin-Thingy, right?"

Right.

Better insulin-sensitivity = lower+stable insulin-levels = greater fat burning results.

I recommend around 2.5 gram 3x per day, usually after a main meal.

PS: This stuff is called the „Sugar Destroyer“ in India...

HOT STUFF, Baby !;-)

Cayenne Pepper:

This is the most awesome stuff: it helps with fat burning and seems to have a whole host of health-benefits like:

it's good for the stomach

the lungs

it boosts immunity

clears headaches

it's a super-antioxidant

it's synergistic to other herbs(makes them more effective)... the list goes on.

Probably most importantly, it‘s also unbelievably great for the heart, apparently can even fix a heart attacks, check this out:

There‘s this Wacky Doc –Dr.Christopher- ... or maybe not so whacky... see and decide for yourself:

What he used to do, right, he never went to a home visit without the c-pepper on him.

Quote: "In 35 years of practice, and working with the people and teaching, I have never on house calls lost one heart attack patient and the reason is, whenever I go in--if they are still breathing--I pour down them a cup of cayenne tea (a teaspoon of cayenne in a cup of hot water), and within minutes they are up and about!”

I believe it!! You ever tried that „Tea“? You woldn‘t dare stay in that bed!!

For the more faint of heart, you can also get the stuff in capsules.

But if you can handle it, here's a Super-Fat Burning Thermogenic Drink:
1 teaspoon of organic Cayenne Pepper, 1 freshly pressed clove of garlic, a half a freshly pressed lime. Add hot water to fill a decent-size mug:

The Three Healthiest Foods on the Planet, in Order of Impotence... er... YOU know:

1.Cruciferous Vegetables(broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, cabbage & Co.)

2.Nuts and Seeds(especially Almonds, Walnuts, Flaxseeds and Coconuts !;-)

3.Fruit(especially Berries: blueberries, cranberries, strawberries, rosehips, but also other fruit like apples, cherries, grapefruit, prunes, avocado etc, etc, all are totally awesomely wholesomely good for ya !;-)

PS: Coconuts(fresh) are the most awesome Appetite-Suppressant! Try chewing on one of those babies for a half an hour !;-) More food?? No, thank YOU!!

Hollywood Health Tip 14:

Today's Health-Tip comes in the "negative form", in that it isn't about what you should take but rather about something you should NOT take instead, namely...

SOY

All the evidence seems to suggest the same:

AVOID IT LIKE THE BLAZES!!

The main deal here is that soy contains Phyto-Estrogens, that's plant-chemicals which act like estrogens in the human body. Now, estrogens are female sex-hormones, something a male definitely wants to avoid! They can be feminizing, creating for example MOOBS(man-boobs) Nuff Said !;-)

But even women want to treat this with caution; too much estrogen is bad for anyone: it's cancerous, and a major Fat-Maker!!

Perhaps the worst would be Soy Infant-Formulas... you do NOT want to load up a baby with tons of estrogens, boy OR girl!!

The Three Biggest Food- and Fitness-Industry Myths that might be keeping you Fat!

1.Loose Fat and Gain Muscle at the same time!

Yes, it‘s possible. But should you try and do it? Definitely not!

This myth is responsible for more fat gym-rats out there than probably any other.

Only by focusing on either the one or the other will you be able to finally make progress. It‘s advisable to get lean first, then focus on gaining more muscle, whilst making sure not to gain any fat at all whatsoever!

2.If you don‘t eat every three hours you loose muscle and your Metabolism will slow right down, making you fat!

Complete Bonkers!

Utter Nonsense!!

You can be totally fasted for up to 48 hours+ and not drop a microgram of Muscle Mass. This has been proven many times and beyond the shadow of a doubt, by experience and scientific studies both.

3.If you don‘t have a ton of Protein every day, you will loose Muscle Mass!

They try to tell you that you need 1-2 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight.

So a 200 pound-guy would need to ingest between 200 and 400 gram of protein per day!

Ridiculous!!

The Truth: nothing could be further from it! Realistically, the formula calls for 1 gram(even 0.8 gram, to be exact) PER KILO of bodyweight!!

So the 200 pounder would need less than 100 gram of protein per day.

This has been proven in countless studies, by scientific and empirical evidence both. In short: It‘s an Un-Disputable fact!

The Fitness-Industry doesn‘t like it? You betcha! They want to sell you their protein products after all. And by the way: there‘s a hell of a lotta calories in 120 gram of excess protein, and they all go to... you guessed it: your belly-button!!

OOooooo... zer eeewil food conspiracy.....

Hollywood Health Tip 17:

Secret Agent Bed-Time/Night-Time Beverage:

Night-Time Cramps? Restless sleep? Try this!

1.Magnesium Citrate, 1 gram

2.Zinc, 15mg

3.Potassium Citrate, 100 gram

4.B6, 20mg

5.Vitamin C, 2.5 gram

6.Pinch of salt

7.Glutamine, 2.5-5 gram(optional)

8.Creatine, 5 gram(optional)

Mix all into about 500 ml luke-warm water. Have right before bed/during the night. Awesome to prevent night-time cramps and to ensure deep relaxed sleep.
